Marylebone Psychological Therapies
Specialist Psychological Therapy & Corporate Mental Health Support in London, UK and Online Worldwide
Welcome to
Marylebone Psychological Therapies
Hi, I am Lena, an accredited therapist with over 15 years of experience providing psychological therapies for leaders, executives, entrepreneurs and professionals in high-pressure roles who appear successful on the outside but may be struggling internally with stress, anxiety, burnout, trauma, perfectionism, low self-esteem, relationship difficulties, or addictions.
Many of my clients are used to coping, performing and carrying significant responsibilities for others. Yet behind their achievements, they often feel overwhelmed, emotionally exhausted, disconnected from themselves, not good enough or uncertain about what they want from the next stage of their lives. Therapy offers a confidential and safe space to slow down, make sense of these experiences and reconnect with what matters most to you.
I integrate evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR), Existential Therapy and Schema Therapy. Other approaches and fast-acting techniques may also be used, when appropriate. Every therapeutic journey is tailored to your individual needs, goals and circumstances. My approach goes beyond symptom management to equip you with practical tools that build resilience and prevent these issues from arising again.
Clients don’t come to me to talk about their problems indefinitely; they come to stop carrying them. Over time, that looks like feeling confident again, making the decision you’ve been circling for months and trusting it, walking into high-pressure moments without feeling overwhelmed or not good enough, setting a boundary and prioritising yourself without feeling guilty.
Consultancy, Mediation & Workplace Wellbeing Services
Marylebone Psychological Therapies also provides consultancy, mediation and workplace wellbeing services for organisations seeking to support employee wellbeing, strengthen leadership and create psychologically healthy workplaces. Mediation services are delivered by Lena, a Civil Mediation Council (CMC) accredited mediator, ensuring conflict resolution work meets recognised professional standards. The aim is to create resilient and inclusive working environments where employees can perform effectively under pressure and feel empowered to bring their authentic selves to work. Where appropriate, Lena collaborates with a trusted network of independent professionals to deliver specialist services and organisational projects.

Burnout in High-Achievers: When Hard Work Stops Feeling Like Success
Have you ever felt like you’re running on empty and calling it ambition?
From the outside, your life looks successful. You’re competent, driven, and trusted. You deliver results, solve problems, and keep going when others would have given up.
Yet underneath it all, you’re exhausted. You tell yourself you’ll slow down after the end of the month, the next project, the next promotion, or when things become less busy. But somehow, there is always another deadline, another responsibility, another reason to keep pushing. And increasingly, you’re wondering: Is this really success?
Hard work isn’t enough
This article is not about telling you to care less or work less hard. It is about understanding why you work the way you do, what it is costing you, and what evidence-based approaches can genuinely help you reclaim your evenings, your energy, and your sense of professional identity — without sacrificing your ambitions.
